To lead customer’s satisfaction and joy, we plan new products through market research, build sales networks, promote sales strategies and provide after-sales services by cooperating with R&D, Engineering and car dealers.
Linked with market trends and sales plans, we formulate production plans that maintain a high level of balance between "timely supply of products to customers” and “high-efficiency production", which leads to smooth production and shipment.

・Intellectual Property
Honda's intellectual property includes the patents, utility models, designs, trademarks, and copyrights arising out of its business.
Our mission is to support the creation of this IP, develop global strategies for actively promoting the leverage of our rights, and translate them into action.
For instance, we participate in R&D projects, encourage new invention through investigation into cutting-edge technologies, and seek to obtain patents and license this intellectual property, and negotiate and conclude contracts in order to make it available to external parties.
Furthermore, we contribute to Honda's management in IP respects by dealing with disputes with other companies over technology, and managing the trademarks and brands.
・Legal
There is strategic legal work that creates added value for corporate activities, preventive legal work to deal with potential legal risks that may arise in the future, and responsive legal work that deals with events that have already occurred. Our wide scope of work includes the proposition of corporate management strategies from the legal viewpoint, support with screening and negotiating contracts in order to help the business run smoothly, the resolution of legal issues arising within each department, and the handling of lawsuits in collaboration with external lawyers.
We contribute to maximize Honda’s corporate value by making proposals for management decisions such as profit planning, funding planning, investment resource allocation, and capital policy, from long-term perspective and total optimization.
We are creating new values by improving development efficiency with digital / IT technology and promoting understaning of the market and customers by making full use of data analysis.
Areas of responsibility include: planning and promoting corss-functional projects, analysis using data science, building system infrastructure, application development and operation.
